Drinking Healthier with More Drinks

If you are a regular reader you will know that I’ve been on a bit of a health kick lately. I’m still breastfeeding but also trying to lose baby weight so I’m trying to make sure that everything I put in my body is good for me.

As a breastfeeding mummy I need to make sure that I am well hydrated. I can get really thirsty, especially when I am out and about and I always make sure I have a bottle of water with me. I’m not the biggest fan of plain water though so it can be difficult to feel motivated to drink extra.

When I was at Blog On Cymru last month I was introduced to the brand More Drinks – they make flavoured water for adults and children which have added vitamins and are practically calorie free. You can imagine my delight! What a great idea!

More Drinks

I got to taste some of their products on the day and have been sent some to try out at home and I must say I am really impressed. I’m not a massive fan of flavoured water – I usually think it has lots of added sugar and tastes really chemically. None of this with More Drinks though – the flavouring is really natural and pleasant and some of the adults versions are sparkling which makes a lovely change – it feels like you are having a ‘naughty drink’ when you are actually having a healthy drink!

I love the fact that they have added vitamins and you can pick and choose which vitamin drink – A, B, C and D as well as a multivitamin version, all in tasty flavours. Last week the vitamin C drink came in handy when I had a kids party to go to following a night out with the nursery mums!

I am genuinely impressed with these drinks and now they are available in Tesco, WH Smiths, Asda and Ocado online for for £1.45 a bottle (or two for £2 in Tesco until 14th April). I am definitely going to keep stocked up as they are great for having in my handbag for when I get thirsty when I’m out and about!

More Vitamin Drinks

The kids versions ( A Little More) are just as great – in three lovely flavours in different vitamin ranges they contain up to 100% of the RDA of each vitamin. For children like mine who are very fussy these are an absolute godsend – I can give them one of these with their lunch safe in the knowledge that they are drinking low calorie, sugar free vitamin packed drinks.

  1. They seem absolutely delicious! Being healthy is extremely important to me and these drinks would definitely fit into my daily routine quite easily! 🙂

  2. Sometimes it’s a worry whether the children are getting enough vitamins, especially when they’re being fussy. I think that this could be the answer, vitamins whilst getting a fun drink for a treat.

  3. Sometimes it seems impossible to get enough vitamins into fussy children. I think I could “treat” them with these drinks.

  4. I like the sound of them, mainly because I am watching my weight (lost 10 pounds these past few weeks!) and I only drink sugar free or no added sugar drinks. I probably need to drink more than Pepsi Max and the occasional bottle of squash too.

  5. Not seen these before – would like to try – would be great for my son who’s a student nurse and always rushed off his feet.

  6. I seem to have had a cold on and off since before Christmas, a vitamin hit would be good and form your review I like the fact that some of the adults are sparkling, I’m not normally keen on the still flavoured waters, would be interesting o try, they for the review!

  7. I havent tried them but being diabetic I struggle to find drinks I like that are sugar free – they usually have a really nasty fake sugar taste to them – I’d be interested in trying these to see if they are nice. Also I have really low vit D levels so like the idea of getting a top up from a drink 🙂

  8. It’s great they have all the vitamins in them. But the important thing to me would be the taste. I would love to try them to see how good that is.
