Little Loves {Music, Crafts & Little Treats}

I’ve finally finished reading Winter Ghosts. It was slow to start off with but then about halfway through I got really into it. I’ve just discovered that with my Amazon Prime membership I can read Kindle books for free through the Kindle App on my iPhone and iPad which is so exciting and is going to save me so much money! They have thousands of books and magazines to choose from so I’ve just downloaded The Bad Mother’s Diary as my book for the week. I thought it seemed quite fitting being half term!!

I watched an absolutely fascinating Horizon documentary on BBC2 catch up called Why Did I Go Mad. I found it so interesting. It was all about people with mental illnesses and it provided a great insight into what they are going through and dealing with. I also found it really inspiring as there were some positive stories of how people had learned to cope with these debilitating illnesses.

I’ve also finished Gilmore Girls and started on A Year In The Life. I can’t wait to see what has happened to them in the last ten years!

Today I’ve watched Mother’s Day on Netflix while I’ve been working and I really enjoyed it. It was your typical feel good American film, I found it quite funny in places and easy watching. It’s got a great cast list!

I’ve recently treated us all to a family subscription to Apple Music which means we can all download and listen to as much music as we like. This is such a treat! I’ve been listening to Rag’n’Bone Man, Hazel English and Lana Del Rey and I’ve also downloaded the La La Land soundtrack too. I’m really enjoying listening to lots of different music, I think the Apple Music subscription will work out to be great value, especially as my husband uses it and I’m sure it won’t be long before the girls will be into music.

I’ve been doing lots of crafts with the kids this week. They love crafting and it’s been nice having some time to spend with them to do it.

I’ve been cracking out the summer clothes because it’s been so warm! I’ve also treated myself to some new bits and bobs. We’re on a bit of a budget because we’re spending so much money on the garden this spring so I’ve been buying bits on eBay and a few bits in Primark too. I’ve made a little video of my new purchases…

I’ve been treating myself to a couple of little luxuries beauty wise this month. I’ve been suffering from a few spots which have scarred my skin so I bought the No 7 Glycolic Peel kit which has been helping. There’s a video coming up on my channel soon with some other bits I bought so keep a look out for that too.

I was also sent some lovely products from Harley Street Hair Clinic. The shampoo is gorgeous and fresh and the texturising salt spray is perfect for giving my hair a bit of texture without doing too much. Brilliant for summer days at the beach.

    Wow!

    Such an interesting way to live life!

    The combination of reading, listening, watching, and giving your body and self a good treat is actually very important and it is exactly what makes us tick and that gets people clustering around us to want to learn from us, thereby helping us to make money and live our dream life.

    I practice this myself on a daily basis. I read. I watch/see good American and sometimes Indian movies but I don’t like to do they later as I feel their film tricks is just too absurd and annoying. I listen to good musics that lifts my soul and give me a fresh perspective to life and pretty much everything else. I make sure to also take good care of myself, my hair, my skin and the likes.

    These has helped me a whole lot has I have gotten good, liked and trusted to always bring in a new perspective into my speeches every time I am invited to give a talk or something like it.

    So nice write-up here Ali! Do have fun today and extend my greetings to REALLY gorgeous kids. 🙂
