Monthly Loves August
For the last couple of months I have been really enjoying writing these posts all about things that I have been loving this month. It’s been great to see people starting to join the linky too and I’d love to make it a bigger thing over the next few months.
So here we are…what I have been loving this August…
Who can fault the weather this August. We have had some lovely days and it has been so lovely and warm. I’ve actually managed to pick up some colour too despite not going abroad! We have spent lots of time on the beach and having picnics outside which is great because we’ve had no kitchen!
I’ve loved having lots of time with the girls and while I’ll admit it has been hard work (I’m exhausted this week) we’ve had a great time together and it as been wonderful for Little Boy to have his sisters around. I think he’ll really miss them next month.
This month it’s been really hard fitting blogging around looking after the children, especially as Little Boy has missed two weeks of nursery. I’ve been really tired and struggling to keep up at times but it has been so worth it. Blogging has brought us some wonderful opportunities this summer and I’m so grateful that I’ve been able to find a job that I love and can work around the children.
What I’ve been reading
I’ve managed to read one book this holidays – Harry Potter and the Cursed Child. I was so into this I read it in one night!!
Magazine wise, I haven’t had much time but I have started to read Martha Stewart Living again. I love her seasonal ideas and I wanted to get some Autumn/Winter inspiration.
Beauty wise I’ve been enjoying using my new Neutrogena Hydroboost gel. It’s really light and perfect for summer as it doesn’t clog my pores.
I’ve also found a great concealer from Soap and Glory which is soft and creamy and blends and covers well. It was a bit of a fluke find in Boots one day and it works a treat on my under eye bags!
What have you been enjoying lately? Feel free to link up below with any posts you have with a monthly theme, it could be a bucket list, a monthly favourites list or just showcasing your month on Instagram, I’d love to read them. I promise to comment and share all linked up posts too!
The link will be open until the end of the month and another open on the 1st of October so plenty of time to get those posts linked up!
