Monthly Loves – September 2016

Wow September has completely flown by hasn’t it! Well it has for me. It’s been a whirlwind of getting back into the old routine and fighting off all the new term bugs! Blog work has been really busy too which is great and I’m really loving life at the moment (when I’m feeling well enough!).

Here is what I have been loving this month…

I’ve been reading…

the girl on the train

I haven’t read a lot but I did read The Girl on The Train because I saw the trailer for the film in the cinema and I wanted to read the book before I saw the film. I’d definitely recommend it and I’ll be watching the film when it comes out!

I’ve been watching…

suits dvd

When I’ve had a chance I have been binge watching Suits. I’ve just finished season 2. I might be a little bit in love with Harvey Specter….don’t tell my husband!

I’ve been going out…

I’ve been really enjoying getting out and about a lot more with friends. Some local bloggers and I have been hanging out a bit and we have had some great evenings and days out.

The children have been loving…

Luxury baths using these fabulous Bath Salts from Westlab. These have left their ezcema prone skin beautifully soft and hydrated in a season when their skin usually suffers from the change in temperature and weather. They loved dissolving them in the bath and said it felt like they were having a spa treatment!

They’ve also been loving putting their wellies on and kicking the autumn leaves and running in the park. I’ve just bought Bean these fab wellies from Joules.

Homes and interiors wise I’ve been loving…

Valspar paint! I really wanted a Farrow and Ball colour for the kitchen walls but it was so expensive. In B&Q we used Valspar Paint and they scanned the Farrow and Ball colour and colour matched it. The paint is a really great quality and lovely to paint with too so I was very happy!

Because we’ve had builders and decorators in almost constantly for the last few months I have been constantly cleaning the house. I’ve discovered this wonderful disinfectant cleaner called Zoflora which you can add to water and it smells amazing! Just what you need to get rid of all that grime and give the house an amazing smell. It also kills 99% off bugs and viruses which is perfect when you have little ones in the house.

I love, love, loved The Girl on the train like you did but I know it can be a bit of a ‘marmite’ book

Those wellies are so cool! I keep hearing good things about zoflora but have never actually tried it. I’ll have to pick some up and give it a go. 🙂

Everyone seems to be talking about The Girl On The Train, I need to get the book to see what everyone is talking about. My husband loves Suits I just watch it on and off. I love Zoflora and always have it in the house, not tried this fragrance though.

We got half way through series one of Suits and it got a bit too samey for me, so we got bored of it.
