Our #MorningStories

School mornings are somewhat of a chore in our house. Two little people to get ready and trying to get myself ready in a short space of time doesn’t bode well for a relaxed morning. We are usually in a rush, the girls seem to take ages to get ready and I never have enough time to get myself ready!

We are always up by 7.30 and dressed and downstairs by 8. I’ll make the girls breakfast and then go upstairs with my cereal and quickly eat it in the bath. As I’m getting ready the girls finish their breakfast and come upstairs to brush their teeth and get their things together. I would love to have more time to eat a proper breakfast or to sit down with the girls but it hardly ever seems to happen.

We were sent some belVita breakfast bars to review and in all honesty they are fab. I’ve never really been a fan of breakfast bars for breakfast, preferring something more substantial but when the girls are off at school, I come home and sit down and enjoy these with a cuppa – a relaxing start to what will always be a busy day!

They are also great for snacks for the girls. Their favourite flavour (as is mine) is the milk and cereal flavour. I really like the way they come in individually wrapped packets so are perfect for taking with us on the go.

This post is an entry for #MorningStories Linky Challenge sponsored by belVita Breakfast. Learn more at We were gifted the biscuits for the purpose of this review but all opinions are honest and our own.

  1. I too find getting myself properly ready slips off the things to do list in a morning with deadlines to meet. Enjoyed hearing about your mornings. Commenting for myself @kateonthinice and on behalf of BritMums and thanking you for taking part
