Mother’s Day 2014

This mother’s day I was really lucky and treated to a really special weekend by my hubby and gorgeous girls. On the Saturday we woke up early and I had a quiet bubble bath with a book – the best treat in itself! Then the hubby took the girls swimming while I caught up on some sewing. In the afternoon we picked up my new Bugaboo Donkey Duo – more on that later! Safe to say I was very excited! We had a gorgeous lazy dinner of Asda create your own pizzas followed by millionaire cheesecake. And it wasn’t even mother’s day yet!

On the big day itself we went to church in the morning and then went straight down to our favourite cafe by the sea in Mumbles. The food was gorgeous, the weather fab and we had a lush walk down the prom with the girls on their scooters followed by a little play in the playground there. It was utter bliss.

All I had asked for present wise was to have my iPad fixed as it had a massive crack in the screen. Not only did I get this but I got chocolate brioche in bed, an array of handmade cards and goodies from the girls, a bunch of flowers, chocolates and a big bag of lush bath balls. To say I felt spoilt was an understatement. I had the best weekend and whilst mother’s day might be a day of commercial wantonness – it is nice to feel loved and appreciated!
