#RealMumsAllBran 5-Day Challenge

This month we were given the challenge of trying the new All Bran cereals for 5 days to see if we could get a good feeling in our tummies as well as about our tummies.


Having just had a baby, via c-section it is really important to eat lots of fibre as the operation tends to slow down everything inside so it was a really great time to try this challenge! I know that with my last c-section I had real problem with bloating and general digestive problems and this time eating a high fibre cereal has definitely helped. I even carried it on longer than the 5 days as the cereal tasted so nice and was good for my digestive health at this crucial time.

It certainly made a change from the usual bland high fibre cereals. Hands down everyone’s favourite was the chocolate wheats and Bean herself just loved these – we’ll definitely be buying more. It’s refreshing to have a healthy cereal that tastes nice enough that the kids love eating it (and our Bean is a very fussy customer!!)


I think this cereal definitely made my tummy feel better on the inside (although the outside is still a work in progress due to the fact that I’ve just had a baby!!) But you know what, that’s actually ok. I’m proud of my little mummy  tummy – and it’s actually much flatter than I expected it to be 3 weeks post birth. What is important to me after months of feeling hot, swollen, sick and uncomfortable in pregnancy and weeks spent in pain recovering from the c section is actually feeling better and it is great that All Bran cereal has played a part in my tummy feeling better on the inside.
