I adore chocolate chip brioche but as soon as we buy some it gets eaten in our house. As I've been trying to utilise the breadmaker a bit more lately I thought I would try this recipe for homemade brioche:
Ingredients:
1 teaspoon fast action yeast
250 g strong white flour
3 tablespoon sugar
75g butter
½ teaspoon salt
2 medium eggs
2 tablespoon milk
1 small packet chocolate chips
Method
I put all the ingredients except the chocoalte chips into the breadmaker and set it on it's 'dough' setting.
When it was finished I pressed in the chocolate chips and broke it into little pieces in silicon muffin cases. You should really brush the top with beaten egg but I didn't and they came out fine. I baked them in the oven on 200 degrees for about 20-30 minutes until golden on the top. You would need to bake it for longer if you put it in as one big loaf.
They were quite yummy and great as an alternative to toast after breakfast. Yum!
