A Smiggle Haul & Exclusive Preview

Last week we were invited to Smiggle, a stationary store in Cardiff for an exclusive blogger’s event and to check out an exclusive product they will be bringing out soon.

My daughters LOVE Smiggle. I mean, that is an understatement. Whenever we are in Cardiff they insist that we stop by there and I honestly believe that they could spend hours in there, and who could blame them?

What I love about the store is that it is bright and colourful and a real kid magnet. I love that they welcome children with open arms and they are always free to touch the merchandise and there are plenty of display items for them to get out and use and try out.

Little Miss J would spend hours testing out the pens while Bean runs around testing every little thing out and declaring it all “essential”!

Be warned, Smiggle is the must head to destination for Back to School gear but it will set you back a bit because it’s not cheap.

After we were treated to coffee, juice and an on-the-go breakfast the staff were kind enough to tell us more about Smiggle’s history (did you know it is called Smiggle because it’s a mixture of a Smile meeting a Giggle?!). The store originated in Australia and is relatively new to the UK so it is really impressive that it is doing so well.

We were then introduced to something exclusive that Smiggle are bringing out very shortly – Spikey’s! Season 2 is about to hit a store near you very soon! They are collectable figures which are sold in sealed boxes – much like a blind bag. There are several to collect and they retail at £7 each, but they are quite big in size and Smiggle do offer a table of exchanges so you can swap your Spikey for a different one if you get a duplicate. Watch out for the mystery Spikey too – it would be exciting to find that one!

As we left the event we were given a small goody bag per family with a Spikey to take away with us. We ended up spending a small fortune in there too as the girls wanted their back to school bags from there so they are Smiggle’d out now!

All in all we had a great morning catching up with some blogger friends and the children were very happy with their visit to Smiggle. It still reigns as their favourite shop!

We made a little video of our morning and also of our little Smiggle Haul, as well as the girls showing you them opening their Spikeys. I hope you like it!

Disclosure – we were invited to an exclusive blogger event at Smiggle and given a small goody bag to share. All opinions are honest and my own.
