Talk to Mums Family Playtime

Last weekend Jelly Baby and I headed into London for a family blogging event hosted by Talk to Mums. I was excited but a little nervous about taking Jelly Baby all that way. She on the other hand was just so excited to have a fun day out in London with Mummy!

I wasn’t sure exactly what to expect but I knew we would have a fun day out and that we did! We got there and there were some really great brands to chat to, a great arts and crafts session, some good talks and lots of friendly bloggers to chat to!

Some of the highlights for me were…

Crystal Ski had a snow room – filled with fake snow and this honestly was the highlight of the place for Jelly Baby – she spent ages in there! Crystal Ski were so friendly too and I’d definitely consider them if we were choosing a ski holiday in the future as it sounds like they have great options for the kids!

We also spent a lot of time chatting to Mini Nom Noms – a fabulous new brand who make healthy ready meals for adults and children. Their packaging is ingenious and the concept is great – healthy food that you can enjoy as a family. I had a little taster of the Vege Tagine and it was really delicious. I really like the fact that with Mini Nom Noms you are all eating the same meal, which is healthy and quick to prepare – double bonus!

Jelly Baby made a little spice blend to take home to Daddy and we’ll be making him a curry with it for National Curry Week.

Kinnerton chocolate were also there and we got to sample lots of their lovely chocolate and advent calendars!

Jelly Baby had her face painted by the wonderful Iindigo World and she looked fantastic if I do say so myself!!

We also spent a lot of time talking at the Tractor Ted stand – Jelly Baby ‘chucked a chicken’, did some colouring and she loved their products! We took home a toy and a DVD and will look forward to watching it!

A big hit with Jelly Baby too was the Mini Hornit – a stylish and practical bike horn which fits on scooters and bikes, has a variety of sounds and has lights for safety too. I’m hoping that they will send us one to review so that we can tell you more about it.

The event was completely geared towards family entertainment and fun. The brands were great with the kids, completely relevant and there was plenty for the kids to do. From the snow room to the playroom (complete with entertainers) to the great Halloween Lantern craft session hosted by Art Attack’s Lloyd.

There was also plenty for Mummies –  I wish I had time to have my nails done and a massage by Return to Glory but I did get a chance to peruse the Homesense stand and look at their great Christmas stuff. How fab is this reindeer?

I also got to listen to a couple of the talks – the highlight being on Pinterest, but it was a shame it had to be rushed through. It was lovely to meet some new bloggers too and catch up with others.

I’d definitely attend another of these events – well worth travelling for! Genuinely one of the best family blogging events I have ever been to.

Oh wow! Absolutely love Jelly Baby’s face paint- what a wonderful experience. So good to read about a ski-company which is family friendly, we’re hoping to get abroad soon but neither of us can stand the idea of a beach holiday with three little ones, skiing would be perfect- I bet that’s the same for yours! Hope to read more about these fab brands.
