This Week I’m Eating Clean
I’ve been shattered ever since baby Sprout was born. Some of this might be three kids but something tells me it might also be my poor diet and lack of exercise adding to it!
I’ve resolved to do something about it – I’m running again and going to yoga classes (although I might swap them for yoga dvds). And this week I made the massive decision to cut sugar out of my diet completely.
I’ve been reading Amelia Freer’s new book alongside Deliciously Ella and I’m firmly convinced that what we put into our bodies is important. I’ve not had a ‘bad’ diet but I definitely could do better. I do eat a lot of sugar, in various forms and could do with eating much more fruit and vegetables.
This week I have gone cold turkey on sugar. It has been hard and I’m only one day in! I had a headache and was very tired and grumpy yesterday but that just proved to me that I’m doing the right thing – my body is suffering withdrawal symptoms and I don’t want to be chained to a life of sugar addiction forever.
I’m hoping to lose the last stone of baby weight and make a positive and healthy change for me and my family. We’ve bought a Nutribullet and will be starting every day with a healthy smoothie. I’ve also bought a bobble bottle and am trying to drink at least one litre of filtered water a day too.
To mark my progress I’m sharing these before pictures and measurements…I’ll update in a month with hopefully some progress!
