Thomas’ Big Pop-Up Journey Review & Giveaway
Little Boy is into trains in a big way. He is very much the stereotypical boy and he can name most of the characters of Thomas The Tank Engine on sight! You can imagine his delight when the new Thomas’ Big Pop-Up Journey book arrived in our house! He had ripped it out of the box before I could even help him!
This fabulous book if you haven’t seen it before is a wonderful type of book. You can read it like a regular book but it has pop ups on each page which makes it so much more fun for little ones. It comes with an assortment of stand-up cardboard trains and even The Fat Controller much to Little Boy’s delight and you can move them along the track and through the pop-ups in the book.
Once you have finished reading the book, it opens up into a big playmat which they can run their Thomas figures around to their heart’s content. This occupied Little Boy for ages, he loved making choo choo sound effects as he ran the train around the play-mat and he loved flying the Helicopter in and out of the action too!
The book is a really great quality and stood up to Little Boy’s rough play quite well. I really liked that it was so well thought out and detailed – there is even a moving winch on the crane and the level crossing barriers move!
This has definitely been Little Boy’s go-to item this week. I love that I can read him the book and talk through the story with him before he can be left to play happily with the trains, and best of all, it all folds down neatly into the box again!
