Ty Hafan’s Precious Moment’s Campaign – Cwtch

Last week I told you all about Ty Hafan, a wonderful local charity which works with children with life limiting conditions to improve and enrich the time they have left. Their Precious Moments campaign is well underway and this week the word of the week is Cwtch.

Now this word has great meaning to me. It is welsh for hug or cuddle and it is a really lovely word which has a lot of love behind it. Indeed, this is why I called my blog Cookies and Cwtches – because there are always a lot of cwtches going on in our house.

I’m sharing with you all this week a rather fuzzy iPhone photo of a little cwtch my two youngest had today. Baby S loves to read books and he has started getting his books and taking them over to JB and sitting on her lap for her to read them. She absolutely loves this and although he is very heavy she loves having him sit on her lap and giving him a cwtch while she reads him a story. Definitely a precious moment in our house.

Do you have a precious moment which involves a cwtch? Tag @tyhafan on twitter or ty-hafan on Instagram and hashtag with #preciousmoments. They would love your support.

What a beautiful moment in time you’ve captured to look back on in the years to come! Tŷ Hafan is an incredible charity that does such important work, I wasn’t aware of their precious moments campaign but I’ll definitely be looking to get involved. xx

Ty Hafan is amazing. I love cwtches – I have had loads with Pickle the last few days which is lovely, but it’s because he has been quite poorly 🙁 Kaz x

I love the word cwtch, I only found out about a couple of years ago when I made friends with a lady from Barry. It’s a word that truly describes the photograph.

This is wonderful! My welsh friend always used to say, ‘Alright bud (or ‘but’ I’m not sure) give us a cwtch’. I still quote him. x

Aw this is lovely and what a fantastic campaign to support. It took me ages to realise what a Cwtch was, it makes it worse that my Dad is Welsh and I am half Welsh! 😉 A gorgeous photo too. x
