We Met Santa at Hamleys

Last week I took two very excited girls to meet Santa at Hamleys Cardiff. Hamleys is the place to go in Cardiff for a really fun shopping trip for little ones – the store is so lively and the staff are great with the children and always performing demos, the girls always ask to go in there if we are in town.

The experience started with songs in the middle of the store as the Hamleys elves led us to the party room at the back of the store. The elves were bright, lively and excitable, just how Santa’s elves should be and their energy was infectious – the kids were enthralled!

The party room was set out beautifully with a table for all the children, sofas for the parents and a cute little area for Santa.

The children were given a meal and it was a proper meal – burgers, chicken pieces and chips with squash to drink. They even catered specially for JB who is a vegetarian and she had a vegetable burger. The food was lovely and hot and tasty and meant that we didn’t need to feed the girls any dinner that night!

Once the food was gone the elves announced the arrival of Santa! He was brilliant – a proper Santa and I loved how he read the children’s name stickers and made them believe he remembered them from last year! Santa sat them all down around his chair and read them a story.

After this the elves brought out some christmas arts and crafts – they could make cards or christmas crackers. JB made a card to give to Santa which was really sweet.

While this was going on the children were called up one at a time to speak to Santa. JB is usually very shy of Santa so I took her up but she spoke happily with him – apparently she wants a baby doll! Santa gave them both a gift bag which they both were delighted with!

We had a magical time at Hamleys. You can experience it too from 10am to 7pm up until the 24th December. At £25 each it is a little more expensive than a regular Santa visit but the gift bag is great and you get a meal in that too. It was the best meet Santa I have been to for sure.

Disclosure – we were invited to experience Santa at Hamleys in Cardiff free of charge for the purpose of this review. All opinions are honest and my own.

Oh wow this looks amazing and the experience you have described, to me, seems worth every penny. My daughter is a bit young for most of these things at nearly two. But this is definitely something I would consider next year =)

The first time that I went to Hamley’s was earlier this year and it truly was a magical land that you could get lost in! What was your favourite part.
