Happy Friday everyone! If you are new here let me introduce one of my favourite posts – Little Loves! It is a linky started by Morgana at Coffee Work Sleep and it is just basically some headings under which I can share my favourite parts of my week with you! I try to write it at least once a month and I love reading other people’s Little Loves posts, I find them really inspiring and I always find something new to read or watch.
This week I finally finished The Silkworm by Robert Galbraith. This book has been a real slow burner for me, I loved the first book, The Cuckoo’s Calling but I found this one harder to get into for some reason. About halfway through I finally got into it and I even woke myself up early one morning so that I could finish it! I’ll be reading the next in the series shortly!
I’ve also been reading magazines again, although not as much I would like. I really need to make more time to read as I enjoy it so much and find it really relaxing.
I watched one episode of the new Celebrity Big Brother this week which was interesting! I was intrigued because of the feminist theme, even though I haven’t watched Big Brother for years. I haven’t watched it since but there are some definitely characters in there that fascinate me!
I went to the cinema last week and saw Ferdinand with the children. It’s a really sweet movie and it did have a lovely ending which brought a tear to my eye! Definitely worth a watch!
Hands down the best thing I have heard this week is Oprah Winfrey’s amazing speech at the Golden Globes. It was totally inspiring and motivating. If you haven’t heard it you can watch it on YouTube
I’ve been taking part in Veganuary so I’ve been doing a fair amount of cooking this week. I made some tasty vegan Bounty style chocolate and coconut balls and I also made a really tasty tomato and red pepper soup. I’ll be blogging both recipes soon if you are interested! I’ve also tried to get back into making bread, although my bread maker seems to be not working well so I might have to start making bread the old fashioned way!
I’ve bought myself a couple of new outfits for January but I haven’t managed to take any photos yet. I’ll be doing a YouTube haul video soon though so keep an eye out for that. I have been loving my new Belle boots from Hotter that I won in a competition on their twitter before Christmas – I wore them all around Venice and even though I walked all day my feet didn’t hurt at all!
I’m putting a lot of time into my YouTube channel at the moment and I’m really enjoying it! I’d love it if you would pop over and check out some of my videos! You can find my channel here!
Have a great weekend folks!
