A Christmas Bowling Party

A Christmas Bowling Party

Last week we had a really busy festive week and I’m really excited to be sharing it all with you on the blog this week. On Wednesday we were invited down to the Red Dragon Centre in Cardiff Bay with a couple of our blogger friends, Cardiff Mummy Says and KellyAllenWriter.

We headed into Hollywood Bowl to try out one of their Kids Christmas Parties. I didn’t know that this was a package they offered and I think it’s a great idea if you are looking for a party that is a little bit different.

We had our own party host who was great and explained some rules of safety to the children and set up the lanes for us.

The kids each got a cracker and a bracelet and a santa hat which was very exciting for them. I liked that different children could choose to have the bumper bars up or not so older and younger could play together. He then took the food order and brought the children a mocktail each which they loved!

We got on with playing and the children had a great time. There was a ramp the younger ones could use which was useful and Little Boy who hasn’t been bowling before absolutely loved it! He was so excited for his turn and pushed the ball down the ramp and waited excitedly to see what he had hit. I wouldn’t have thought about taking him before as at 2 I think he is a bit young, but we’ll definitely take him again as he absolutely loved it.

After the game stickers were given out to those who won and got strikes and they posed for a photo together before heading¬†to the eating area for food. The party is advertised as coming with an adult meal, but our children were served a children’s meal, which was perfect for them but a little confusing. I think maybe because our party host changed halfway through there was a mis-communication in the kitchen.

After they finished their food the children had a little play in the arcade area before we headed outside to Cadwaladers cafe. The staff were so friendly and the children all enjoyed an ice cream each and the grown ups enjoyed a festive hot drink. It was the perfect calming way to end a fabulous evening.

There is so much going on in The Red Dragon Centre, it’s the perfect place to take your family and it has some lovely Christmas decorations too. I made a little video of our evening which is up on my YouTube channel now if you would like to watch it.

A big thank you to Hollywood Bowl, Cadwaladers and The Red Dragon Centre for our complimentary evening there, we had a lovely time!
