    A Family Photo February 2022

    Mar 7, 2022 · Modified: Sep 21, 2022 by Ali · Leave a Comment

This photo was taken on a gorgeous day when the sun shone but it was still quite cold. As my youngest says - cold and nice and sunny! It was one of those days that had a real sense that spring is on it's way and I for one can't wait!

February has been a difficult and busy month. We've had covid hit the house twice, a birthday to celebrate and I have been laid up with a really bad back for most of it. This was actually the furthest I walked for a month I think and I am still wearing my back support. I am finally on the mend now though, although I have had to take on extra help around the house and the children have had to pull their weight.

Of course there was also Storm Eunice which rocked the UK and growing tensions and upcoming war between Russia and Ukraine have really put a shadow on the month too. So much suffering and hardship is going on in the world, both in the UK and abroad and it is very difficult to put that into a context with our very fortunate bubble.

March brings with it another birthday and Mother's Day (which I am really looking forward to!). It's also the last month that Baby N will be home as much as he starts school nursery in April. I wasn't too sure whether to send him or not but I have decided to and the late decision has meant some last minute logistical planning! Four children in three different schools is no joke and one of the very frustrating and expensive results of having to move the children's schools after my daughter was bullied.

Anyway, I'm sure that we will all settle into the new routine soon and at least it will give me more time to work - and I'll need it with the extra cost of childcare for the next few months!
