Wow these posts are proving popular already! If you are new here you can read Day 1 and Day 2 here.
Today we thought we would head out for some fresh air so we looked for somewhere that would be quiet so that we could walk whist still sticking to social distancing. We headed to Forrest Fawr sculpture trail in Cardiff and it was actually really quite busy! I guess that everyone had the same idea. We did manage to keep away from people though and everyone was quite respectful and mindful to keep away from each other.
This evening we have seen it reported on the news that places that are usually quiet such as beaches and parks have been overwhelmed with visitors, and visitors who aren't following the social distancing measures. I'm a little worried about where we will go next, I hope that it's not full of other people.
We did have a lovely morning out and then when we were home we spent some time clearing out the garden as it was a nice day. I'm very conscious that the children are going to be confined to a small place for a while and I want them to enjoy playing outside as much as they can. Hubby is even looking for a tutorial on how to make a mud kitchen from pallets and I think it's a great idea.
In the afternoon I went into town to my usual nail appointment but instead of having my nails done, I had the gels removed. The lady who does my nails runs the business on a self employed basis and she doesn't know how she is going to get through this. I paid her for the removal and also for the appointment I would have had in 2 weeks time had this not been going on. Work has completely dried up for me, but we are lucky that we have my husband's income which remains the same. I am really conscious that we need to support self employed people where we can.
We also played kinetic sand - that was not fun with a 14 month old who only wants to eat it! Part of my isolation panic Amazon order also arrived, a netball for Miss J (the hoop is in the second part of the order) a 101 science experiments book and some maths and english workbooks for my 13 year old as well as a spellings game for my 5 year old. I have tried not to buy too much until I see how the first few days and weeks pan out.
Once again, here are some little pictures from our day...
