Last night we took the children for an exciting trip to see Disney on Ice at the Motorpoint Arena in Cardiff. We are big Disney fans and we've been lucky enough to have seen Disney on Ice before, and loved it every time. We headed off after school and the children were so excited! It was the first time we have taken Little Boy who's now 3 to see the show so we were looking forward to seeing his reaction.
This year it was their Worlds of Enchantment show and we got to see four of our favourite different Disney movies, brought to life on the ice. The show started by bringing all our favourite characters from Toy Story 3 to the ice. We haven't seen a Toy Story dance before and it was absolutely brilliant. Seeing Woody and Buzz in was a highlight for the children and I was very impressed with the huge Lotso Bear skating across the ice!
There was a fabulous sketch with Barbie and Ken which involved some great dancing and was very funny.
Next up was my absolute favourite The Little Mermaid. I loved the bright colours and vibrant songs and Sebastian was just fabulous! Again there was some spectacular dancing between Ariel and Eric and the Ursula scene was very dramatic!
There was a short interval where we treated the children to some ice cream before the action continued.
First up was a scene from Cars - Little Boy's absolute favourite! Mickey's car had a breakdown and all our favourites from Cars came to save the day! I was curious to see how the Cars would appear on the ice and I was so impressed to see them driving around the rink! It was well done but I would have liked to have seen a bit more of them as this section was quite short.
Lastly we saw everyone's favourite Frozen. We've seen this segment at previous shows but I am always impressed how they manage to mix it up every time. I'm not exaggerating to tell you that Little Boy screamed so much with joy and excitement when he saw Elsa on her tower that everyone from the next few rows turned to look at him! We couldn't help singing along to the songs and it left us on a real high for the end of the show.
We really loved the show and it was such a treat to take the children to watch something so special. Honestly the look on their faces is just priceless, it is such a magical show. The girls (11 and 7) both loved every minute and I'm so glad that we took Little Boy, he thought it was amazing!
Disney on Ice is at Cardiff's Motorpoint Arena until the 29th April 2018 and then continues in Aberdeen. You can read more about the tour and buy tickets here.
Disclosure - we were gifted tickets for the purpose of this review. All opinions are honest and my own.

Cardiff seems to be where all the action is happening. Disney had been my favorite too. I absolutely adored Sebastian in The Little Mermaid. I used to watch it here in India before the advent of cable TV. Our state channel will broadcast the shows dubbed in vernacular. I loved it then. Saw it again in English and loved it more. Thank you so much for bringing my Disney memories back.

That looked really fun! Thanks for all the great photos. I have been wanting to take my niece and nephew to this for quite a while now. I think they would really love it. 🙂

I loved watching Disney on Ice when I was a kid, and I made sure I gave my children the same experience. These shows are truly magical. I would want to watch another one if they are to perform in an area near me. That would be something I would look forward to.

It does look like such a lot of fun. I have intended on taking my daughter to it sometime. Unfortunately we were never able to make it. I really love the Toy story set.
