Father’s Day 2019 is on Sunday 16th June so that gives you two weeks to pull out all the stops and get that special Daddy in your life a really nice gift. I know that for many of you there are lots of people to consider when buying Father’s Day gifts, you might need something for your husband, your dad, your grandad or step dad’s and even special father figures in your life. I think it is important to recognise the love and gratitude that you have for these special Dads. Personally I feel so lucky that my children have an amazing father, as I didn’t have one so I love spoiling him on Father’s Day. It doesn’t have to be a huge gift, or anything expensive, just spoiling him with breakfast in bed and a lovely day together is enough, but if you are inclined to buy a gift here are some suggestions of things that I know that my husband would love.
Something to drink
Their favourite tipple will always go down well as a Father’s Day gift. This Celia organic lager is low in calorie (139 calories) and it is vegan friendly too due to a special filtration process.
Another great idea would be to buy a refillable water bottle. There has been lots of coverage in the press lately about the importance of being more environmentally friendly and ditching disposables. A water bottle to carry around with you and refill would made an extra specially considerate gift.
This bottle from is in a Harry Potter design but there are lots of other designs to choose from depending about what the boy/man you are buying for is into. This bottle is from Paladone and they also have lots more great gift options on their site.
Toiletries are always a great gift and I know that my husband appreciates a little pampering come Father’s Day. Super Facialist has a great range of products from face wash to face masks and I know these will go down well. They promise to deliver real results at high street prices.
Male shaving products are always needed too so are a great choice. This razor from Wilkinson Sword has a grooming end so perfect for use on beards or moustaches and the other end is a regular razor. It’s a great little tool that makes for a really useful gift.
Colgate also has an electric toothbrush which would be a great gift and would go down with men of all ages, especially those who like to take care of their health and appearance. With its slim, lightweight design and travel cap, the Colgate Pro-Clinical 250+ Black Electric Toothbrush is not only great for travel but home too – an ideal Father’s Day gift for dads on the go.
Another great father’s day gift idea is to pick up his favourite scent. Beauty Base have a selection of mens aftershaves which would be perfect for the occasion. If you sign up to their newsletter you can get 10% off too. While you are on their website take a look at their other products and buy yourself something too!
My husband loves to cook, as do many Dads so a gift that they can use in the kitchen is often well received. Souschef sells many cookery related gifts that would be perfect for Father’s Day, including this oil pourer. It is perfect for making a batch of flavoured oil to go inside for that personal touch.
If the man in your life likes to cook, even if it is just on the barbecue then a personalised apron might be a good idea. This apron is from Giftpup and you can have it personalised with the name of your choice. I always think something personalised makes a great gift as it really shows that you were thinking enough about the person that you had something specially made for them.
The perfect card
Sometimes all you need is a card to tell someone how you are feeling. Danilo has some great options for Father’s and grandfather’s alike.
If you are looking for something for your own father or step-father and you are a little bit older these hilarious cards from Love Layla Designs could prompt a few laughs on Father’s Day morning!
Many men like to receive something that will be useful. This footwear care kit from Storm will come in very useful, especially if he likes to take care of his clothes and looks.
I always like to get something that will be put to good use, but remember, it is much like getting an ironing board for Christmas, it is a no-go if you don’t get something else as well!
I’ve made a little video showing some of these products, you can find it on my
