With the arrival of the new baby I’m not getting nearly enough sleep. I wake early, feed the baby and rush around getting the girls ready and out of the door on time for school. I barely get time to shower, let alone have breakfast!
Belvita sent me some of their new crunchy breakfast biscuits to try. They come in Apricot, Hazlenut and Chocolate Chip (I must confess that Chocolate Chip is my absolute favourite!). They not only taste good but they also slowly release carbohydrates for a healthier breakfast.
Last week the baby woke up a little early, I fed and changed him and put him back down. I had half an hour before anyone else needed to be up so I headed downstairs, put some washing on, made myself a cup of coffee, grabbed a packet of chocolate chip Belvita and sat down for a very very rare 5 minutes of peace and quiet on the sofa. So so simple, and something that most people take for granted but this was my first morning in a LONG time that I got some alone time, some me time to enjoy the quiet, drink my coffee while it was hot and eat a quick and healthy breakfast. It was such an easy to make this tasty breakfast meaning that I had more time to enjoy my little moment of peace and quiet. A definite morning win for me – and I’m already looking forward to the next chance I get to do it!
