I love Mother's Day. I know to some it is a little gimmicky but I love the little handmade gifts the girls give me and I do relish the chance to get spoilt for once!
This year on the Saturday I had a pedicure and gel toes done which was a real treat as I'd never had that done before. On Saturday mornings I try to have a little 'me time' to get my hair or nails done or even just have a long hot bath. It makes all the difference!
On Sunday morning I woke up to presents in bed - lots of handmade trinkets from the girls and I was really lucky to get a personalised Tiffany charm for my bracelet from the baby. The hubby did good! We then had a 'special breakfast' as the girls call it - croissants and coffee and pancakes, mmmm!!
After that we headed down to the Mumbles where we go every year for Mother's Day. We had a lovely drive and went for a delicious meal in Verdi's. I had a day off the diet so ate everything in sight! I had a brie and cranberry focaccia followed by two scoops of ice cream with hot caramel sauce and chocolate sprinkles. Really naughty!
We then took the girls for a little scooter ride along the sea front. It was cold and very windy but it did blow some cobwebs away and at least the girls enjoyed!
