The Ordinary Moments 15 (2/52)

Looking back over my week it has been more full of special moments than ordinary moments. Jelly Baby started ballet lessons, Bean had her arm cast taken off. Baby Sprout turned 6 months old and he also rolled over for the first time! Added to that we have also moved him into his own room. So many special little moments, none of which I can say are ordinary!

What this week has been about though is getting into a new routine. Back to school, which is always a shock to the system after a break but this time with a twist. Baby Sprout is eating solid food now so we have an extra meal to make but with him eating solid foods and moving into his own room he seems to have settled into a much better routine – napping at regular times and for longer periods. I’ve had more time for the girls and spent a lovely couple of hours today helping them with their homework without having to entertain a baby at the same time.

So amongst the amazing special moments we have had this week, this week was also about getting back into the ordinary routine that we have missed lately. School runs, homework, ballet classes, brownies and swimming lessons. It has meant the start of new routines – making breakfast lunch and dinner for three little people, regular nap times and homework. I must say that it is nice to get back into a routine after the chaos of Christmas and it is lovely to have more time to spend individually with all three of my little people.

Here are some snippets of my not so ordinary week…

There’s something quite comforting about getting back to a routine. As lovely as the holidays are, it’s nice to get back to normal. xx

Ahhh what beautiful ordinary moments you have shared. Love the photos. They grow up so fast that why I love Katie’s linky so much. Makes us stop and appreciate all the little moments that we might otherwise pass by or eventually forget. Lovely post. #ordinarymoments

completely agree on getting back to a routine, I think kids thrive on it to some extent, especially when schooling is involved!

Oh you have had such a lovely week, full of new things and special moments! LP broke her leg at 15 months and so I know what it’s like getting a cast off. It must be nice to have your routine back. Thanks for linking up x

Sounds like a busy week for you and the special moments sound lovely. Ballet sounds fun and so does rolling over- there will be no stopping him now. As much as I love doing new things or going on holiday or whatever, I am a sucker for a routine too. I love being in our routine and knowing what works for us. x
