The Ordinary Moments – Ordinary Mornings

This week’s ordinary moments is one of my favourite moments of the day – first thing in the morning. Pregnancy hormones and general uncomfortableness probably wake me early – often before 6. I lie in bed reading social media and the news on my phone before getting up about 7.

Jelly Baby loves a lie in so usually I have to go in and wake her. Often she will be asleep, and like a teenager she will pull the covers over her head if I try to wake her. SOmetimes she will be awake but just lying there cuddling her comforter toy. On days like these I wonder what she is pondering, lying in bed on her own like that.

But some days she comes into our bedroom. A bundle of messy curls we hear her before she arrives – jumping out of bed and padding into our room. She struggles to open the door and when she comes in she is full of smiles and hugs. She usually wants Daddy which is fine – I just love to see her messy hair, give her a little kiss and cuddle her warm little body as she snuggles down into bed with us.

My little bundle of happiness brightens up every morning 🙂

Haha love the bed hair- what a cutie. My biggest girls hair always looks like this in the mornings too! I know the feeling about waking up early and I don’t have pregnancy hormones to blame- I think it is the lighter mornings but I have been waking up so early and my girls love a lie in too. So annoying! x

Awww apart from the pregnancy hormones this sounds just like our house! Just this morning actually, Lil G ran in our room. So cute isn’t it. I often wonder what he is thinking when he is lying in bed, just looking up to the ceiling. Lovely post

I love that hair. Doesn’t it make you jealous though! My daughter’s hair is just so perfect that it makes me angry that I’ve ruined mine with heat and chemicals.

    Lovely photo.
