Painting in the garden

While the weather is still nice I thought I would make the most and take the kids activities outside. Bean had to dress up for two events – a birthday party (as a minibeast) and for World Book Day at school next week. She was adamant that she wanted to be a butterfly so we thought we could tie that in with the Hungry Caterpillar book.

A friend of mine had blank fairy/butterfly wings made of cardboard so we decided to paint them like the butterfly in the book.

I bought Jelly some magic painting books, the type where you brush on water and the colour appears. She loved getting involved and we sat (or should I say are sitting – the wonder of the iPad!) out in the sun for the afternoon. Jelly even had dinner out there.

Glorious times, the only thing missing was the hubby (oh and someone to clean up the mess!)
