Living in Wales, you can’t not be a lover of rugby! My husband used to play rugby and is still rugby mad. I imagine the baby will be signed up to a rugby club just as soon as he can walk!
What I have noticed about the game of rugby though is that it really brings people together. Unlike other sports where there is little hatred and rivalry, in rugby if another team wins it is often acknowledged that the best team won, or that our side played badly on that occasion. There is a really great atmosphere at a rugby match, or even when watching rugby on the TV in the pub or at home. I love how the sport manages to bring people together, and that people from all walks of life can bond over the game.
As part of the celebrations for the Rugby World Cup 2015 Allianz are celebrating their partnership with the Saracens RFC by embracing the fact that rugby is a sport that brings people together. They are creating an online “pass around the world” where you can film yourself or a member of your family passing a rugby ball and the videos will be edited together to make one big pass around the world!
How fab is that! I love the fact that you will be a small part of something so big- and what a great thing for your kids to say that they have been involved in! You can also win one of some great prizes for taking part.
It’s easy to participate:
-‐ Get Mobile Ready: Remember to turn your phone side ways to film your pass.
-‐ Film Your Pass: The ball must come in from the left and out through the right. What you do in-between is up to you.
-‐ Upload: Make sure your video is no more than 10 seconds long and is under 30MBs. Upload it on our website and share it with your friends!
-‐ WIN: all entries will be submitted into a prize draw (terms and conditions apply, please visit www.passaroundtheworld.com for more information.)
