I love flapjacks, in most varieties and I thought I would share with you my basic flapjack recipe. Brilliant for when you are breastfeeding as oats encourage increased milk supply (well that’s my excuse!)
125g light brown muscavado sugar
6tbsp golden syrup.
Mix all the ingredients together on pulse in a food processor being careful not to break up the oats too much.
Press down in a greased square tin and pop in the oven on gas mark 4 for 30 minutes.
Leave to cool for 10 minutes then remove from the tray and cut into squares before fully cooled.
