I’ve seen other people join in with this linky on The Reading Residence and I really like it. I like the idea that sometimes there is just one perfect word that sums up your week, so I’ll be trying to join in with this on a more regular basis.

The word that sums up this week for me is

Really this word sums up the whole of the last few months for me. Life it seems has thrown one thing after another at us. Literally. Every day brings a new challenge, be that a lost coat, a meningitis scare, a dislocated elbow, a cat with a broken paw, a baby that won’t nap, never ending rain on the school run, bad news from the bank, a power cut, seriously the list goes on. I don’t even need to worry about the car’s MOT tomorrow, I just know that with our current luck it will be bad (expensive) news. Even as I type this, baby Sprout has woken up screaming from a nap that is far too short. Relentless I tell you!!

I don’t want to moan, because we are so so lucky, we have three beautiful, healthy children (despite the health scares of late) and we have our own home and generally don’t need to worry massively about money (recent bank scare aside). We are lucky I know, but I would like to spend one day just chilling out with nothing to worry about. One day, that’s all I ask!

A friend mentioned to me that God never gives us more than we can bear. That we are given these challenges means that we can bear them. True enough, bear them we can. I have braved worse. At the same time, life just isn’t enjoyable at the moment. It is relentless. And I would sure like a break please!

I hope that things will be better. Not good in this side of UK too. But like you I am trying to find something positive on all this negatives. #wotw
