Yesterday we ventured off to Peppa Pig World, which is part of Paultons Family Theme Park.
Now, I’m not that into Peppa Pig but Bean is and she was soooo excited to go here! Actually, when I got there, I was whisked away by the magic of it all! I mean, it is Peppa Pig WORLD!
As we were staying in Bournemouth it was only a 45 minute journey there, and we pre-bought tickets online (a MUST as they are cheaper this way). Tickets are not cheap. On the gate they are £24 each, with children under 1m free. Online our family of three ticket cost us £61.50. Geeez!
However, I must say that it was worth it. Peppa Pig World is really great, very well laid out and most rides are suitable for kids under 900cm so we could go on them all. Jelly even went on Rebecca Rabbit’s Helicopter ride – although she had to sit in her own seat and wasn’t too fussed!
The weather was freezing but it was a good time of year to go as the park was really quiet and we didn’t have to wait long to go on the rides. However, I bet it is really good fun there in the summer as they have some water play features. Outside of the Peppa Pig World section there are other rides, and also some animals to look at. There is also a train ride which runs around the park. Peppa Pig World was clearly the best (and most popular) area of the park though.
There were several little food outlets and a couple of restaurants. Food was as to be expected at places like this. A kids meal was about £4.50 and there was both hot and cold food. There are also places to eat outside (if you go when it is warmer!). The only thing was that the restaurant was very full when we had lunch there so must be even worse in the high season.
There are dedicated baby changing facilities and even a room for feeding/breastfeeding with a microwave. The only criticism of this is that there were hard uncomfy chairs provided for nursing mothers and the room was FREEZING – hardly great to get your boobs out in but at least there were dedicated facilities.
All in all it was a great day out and we would definitely visit again!
