This spring we were asked to be part of the Toddlebike Trial 2013. A Toddlebike is a great little bike for toddlers and is a cross between a balance bike and a normal toddler bicycle. We had bought Jelly Baby a really expensive balance bike for her 2nd birthday but she wouldn’t go anywhere near it as I think she was scared about the lack of balance that she had on it – so we figured that she needed an intermediate stage.
This is exactly where the Toddlebike comes in. It is made of a really lightweight plastic, and comes in a bright colour option or pink. It is small and light enough for Jelly Baby to carry it wherever she wants to go and it provides enough balance on it’s four wheels to make her feel secure and safe. She scoots around on it very happily and I think it is perfect for giving her confidence ready for the next stage of bike.
Because of it’s small, light design it can be used in the house or in the garden, and Jelly Baby will frequently carry it between the two herself. It fits easily into the car for transporting to friend’s houses / school / the park and is so light it is easy for mummy to carry when Jelly Baby gets tired!
They are available online here for the bargain price of £23.95 including free UK p&p and they come with a 3 year guarantee.
Disclosure: I was offered the Toddlebike at a slightly reduced price for the purpose of this review. All opinions are my own.
