I absolutely love reading, and although I don’t have as much time as I used to, I still like to indulge in a good book whenever I can. In the summer particularly it’s nice to take a little break to read a book in the sun while the children play.
When we pack for holiday I always make sure I have a couple of books packed. I like choosing new books to read and Travel Republic have started a new beach book club where you’ll find inspiration for great reads to enjoy over the summer holidays.
Inspired by this, I thought I would put together a little list of books that I’m planning on reading this summer. I always find if I make a list, I’m more likely to get through it!
The Girl Before by J.P Delaney – this is a crime thriller which I love and rumour has it there is a film adaptation coming, which must mean that it’s good! It tells the story of a girl who becomes obsessed with the death of the previous tenant to her property and promises twists and turns galore!
I’m needing some inspiration food wise as I feel we’ve become stuck in a rut and I need new recipe ideas. I’ve heard good things about The Art of Eating Well by Hemsley Hemsley so I’ll be flicking through those pages for ideas.
For moments of light relief when parenting over the summer holidays has got too much I’ll be laughing along with The Unmumsy Mum and Hurrah For Gin, A Book for Perfectly Imperfect Parents…
Lastly I’ve wanted to read this for ages and it looks perfect to flick through in the evenings, while enjoying a cheeky glass of wine! Hygge, The Danish Way to Live Well by Meik Wiking.
What’s on your summer reading list?
