The Beach!

We are so lucky to live literally opposite the beach. I have to pinch myself most days that we managed to buy this house, and although it comes with an absolute heap of work, it is in such a beautiful location it completely makes up for that.

I wrote a couple of weeks ago about the little lake and duck pond that is at the end of our road and how we love feeding the ducks there, well if you head in the other direction you walk down to the beach. Now the weather is warming up it is just perfect for popping down there after school and having a little play in the sand.

In the summer I hope that we can walk down there with an ice cream and take a picnic for dinner to eat on the beach. Daddy can get off the train after work and meet us and then we can stroll back for the bedtime routine.

For now, while the weather is cooler we made do with a homemade chocolate chip blondie and a flask of hot chocolate which to be honest was pretty awesome!

Life is very much what you make of it, and we haven’t taken the easy road, and there are many many tough points ahead in our great home renovation but I hope they are all worth it for my little people to live a fantastic life. So today I’m sharing this picture of Little Miss J enjoying her after school stroll to the beach. That happy little face makes it all worth it.

I can’t wait to hear more about your house renovations. The easy road is not always the best one and when you have completed all the work you will not only be so proud of what you have achieved but you will also have a beautiful home – opposite the beach! x

We live near one too and theres so much pro if you live near one. I cant imagine what would happen to me if I cant have a breather on the beach. My walks in the seafront always clear my head!
