This Week I’m Eating Clean

I’ve been shattered ever since baby Sprout was born. Some of this might be three kids but something tells me it might also be my poor diet and lack of exercise adding to it!

I’ve resolved to do something about it – I’m running again and going to yoga classes (although I might swap them for yoga dvds). And this week I made the massive decision to cut sugar out of my diet completely.

I’ve been reading Amelia Freer’s new book alongside Deliciously Ella and I’m firmly convinced that what we put into our bodies is important. I’ve not had a ‘bad’ diet but I definitely could do better. I do eat a lot of sugar, in various forms and could do with eating much more fruit and vegetables.

This week I have gone cold turkey on sugar. It has been hard and I’m only one day in! I had a headache and was very tired and grumpy yesterday but that just proved to me that I’m doing the right thing – my body is suffering withdrawal symptoms and I don’t want to be chained to a life of sugar addiction forever.

I’m hoping to lose the last stone of baby weight and make a positive and healthy change for me and my family. We’ve bought a Nutribullet and will be starting every day with a healthy smoothie. I’ve also bought a bobble bottle and am trying to drink at least one litre of filtered water a day too.

To mark my progress I’m sharing these before pictures and measurements…I’ll update in a month with hopefully some progress!

Weight: 9st 7.5

Waist: 34 inches

Tummy: 38 inches

Thigh: 22 inches

Upper Arm: 11 inches

Wish me luck!

Good luck! Remember though that sugar, like everything else does have a place in your diet. Replace refined sugar with natural sugars such as honey or maple syrup, or at least eat fruit #sharewithme

Good luck. I have been the worst for a terrible diet since the twins were born and I swear that it hasn’t helped towards my moods. I have started cutting out unhealthy foods and trying to eat better – plus running – and it has lifted me, for sure. Good luck lovely 🙂 Jess x #wellbeingwednesday

Good for you for eating clean. I have done my fair share of it but always fall off the bandwagon or jump on the snacking wagon which ever you want to call it or see it. I wish I could just change my bad habits and ways of life to be healthier all around. Keep it up. Thanks for linking up to Share With Me #sharewithme

WOW if they were my body stats I would be SOOOO happy!! I gained 6 stone with my twins. hee hee naughty me. But I have now lost 5. I need to lose 2 more to be totally happy. Yoga is amazing and I wish I could get out to do some but the DVD option sounds great. Also Yoogami is worth a look at. You are doing so well. Thank you so much for linking up, I was so pleased to see your blog linked #WellbeingWednesday xxx

Ah thank you! I know I’m not massive, I’m just big for me. I used to be 8 stone before children! I put on 4 stone with my eldest and she was a singleton! Thanks for reading, I’ll definitely try to link up again!
