Verruca Tales

Moany Monday is here and today I am moaning about Bean’s first verruca.

I suppose it was inevitable – she swims at least once a week and now has started PE proper at school. I had verrucas as a child, and now Bean has one, I just wasn’t prepared for her little feet to be so marred at such a young age.

Once I discovered said blemish, off I trotted to the nearest place that would sell verruca treatment and opted for the most expensive, in the hope that throwing money at it would work – it didn’t.

Verrucas are stubborn little things and if this week the Wartner and  I make no progress we will be moving onto another plan such as covering the verruca with gaffe tape or freezing it off. Fingers crossed that the expensive verruca killer works first.

They are a pain once they start swimming. Last year we all got them so I now I have to stop all bare feet when someone has one.

I’m hoping the treatment stuff seals it to stop it spreading…I guess it is just one of those rites of passages we have to go through with swimming!
