Now that I am working more and all the children are at school term time is really busy and full on. My days are filled with school and nursery pick ups and drop offs, after school clubs and working. We really treasure the holidays as a time to spend together as a family and really relax. As I work from home I struggle to relax at home, there's always chores that need doing and the temptation to fill quiet time with working from the laptop or filming is huge. I find that to have a proper break we really need to get away so you'll often see that we make little trips away in the half terms and school holidays. Often these aren't really expensive trips, just a few days here and there visiting somewhere new. It gives us the chance to relax together as a family and explore the UK as we usually go somewhere different every time.
This February half term we went off on a little glamping trip to Shewsbury. We stayed at a new campsite called Love2Stay that I found on Facebook and I am so glad that I did.
It was certainly glamping to the extreme! The tent was based around a wooden frame and it had a proper kitchen with a dishwasher and range cooker! There were three bedrooms, one double, a kids room with bunk beds and a cabin bed which my eldest thought was the best! It even had a little playroom underneath the cabin bed which was perfect for the kids! At the back was a huge bathroom with a double sized shower and a roll top bath.
It was really nice and warm in there despite the cold weather because they have underfloor heating in the bedroom and bathroom areas and a log burner in the kitchen and living area. It made us want to get a log burner in our house it was so lovely and cosy!
There were lots of activities on site but we mainly just hung around our tent relaxing, watching tv and reading books and chilling out in the hot tub.
We did venture out to wander around Shewsbury for an afternoon and we also spent a day at Blists Hill Victorian Town which I absolutely loved. I'd definitely recommend visiting there for a fascinating and fun educational day out.
We made a little video of our few days away if you want to watch it...

I've read about glamping quite a lot. Think i would prefer it to traditional camping

I've never been glamping, but this definitely seems like it would be a fun and unique little holiday to take!

I've always wanted to go Glamping and already love this place because of its underfloor heating! Will bookmark the place for when we go to Shewsbury.

I must confess I have tried glamping and whilst the kids loved it I'm not a complete convert. Shrewsbury sounds a great place to explore though.
