A Wet Walk Through St Fagans

A couple of weeks ago I felt like getting out and about and having a nice walk in the fresh air, but somewhere a little different. We don’t live too far from St Fagans – The Museum of Welsh life and I thought it was the perfect place to go to while away a couple of hours. It had rained a lot so I packed up our wellies and my big camera and off we went for a puddle splashing session!

If you aren’t local and haven’t been to St Fagans I would massively recommend it. It is simply full of history and the children and I love visiting. You can spend a whole day there in warmer weather. We take a picnic and love to explore the old houses, wander through the gardens and just soak up time together as a family whilst experiencing first hand what it was like to live in Wales many years ago. It is free to get in and costs £4 to park your car. You won’t find a better family day out for the price.

But this day we just spent a couple of hours there, enjoying being outside, splashing in puddles and taking pictures of pretty things. We were even lucky enough to catch the bakery serving fresh scones with jam and cream which we ate as we walked along. It was a blissful morning and I returned home, refreshed, energised and ready to take on the rest of the day!

Here are some photos I took that morning.
