What's better than having a child? Nothing. The answer is nothing at all. We don't really know why we're here. The only thing we do know is that we have to keep the human race going, so having kids means achieving our only known goal! Our offspring can do no wrong in our own heads - everything they do is either funny or perfect. That soon comes to an abrupt when, however, when they start to grow a little! As they grow, they need to start learning and becoming more competent in life.

An uneducated, incompetent child will turn into an uneducated, incompetent adult if a parent doesn't teach them a thing or two. Kids must have the basic drilled into them if they're to get anything from life. It sounds quite demanding, but it's really not a problem. Here are a few things you need to teach your kids if you want them to have the wherewithal when they're older:

    Good Manners

Good manners cost absolutely nothing. Be nice to other members of society is probably the easiest thing in the world. Some people find it difficult, though, and that's because they were raised by fairly ill-mannered parents. If you want your kids to grow up with lovely, kind attitudes, then you need to behave that way, too. You need to tell them all about being kind and sweet.

    Cleanliness

Don't you just hate seeing grown-ups that make messes all the time? It's silly. They were never told when they were kids - that's it. It's obviously difficult at first because kids are dopey and naïve, but keep telling them to mind what they're doing. They'll soon realize. Not only will they benefit in the long term, but you'll benefit now, too, as you won't have to do much carpet cleaning and sweeping!

    Positivity!

One of the most underrated traits in existence. If you're positive in life, then it'll be difficult to get down over things. Positivity is something that is instilled in you from the background you were raised from. Nobody is born positive or negative - it's something you learn. Be bouncy and happy around them more often than not, and they'll soon have a zest for life!

    Benevolence

Putting others before yourself is another massive, massive character trait. There are times in life where you have to put yourself first, but, on the whole, doing things for others is the right way to go. Seeing a child act selfishly is frustrating. Seeing an adult do the same is even more frustrating. Don't let your child turn into a self-centred, greedy person. It literally benefits nobody.

    Chores

Everyone needs to be able to hold their own in terms of everyday life. Chores are, again, something you need to teach them. Nobody knows how to do domestic out of the blue. When they've got nothing to do, keep the kids busy with some tasks around the house. You'll get your jobs done quicker, and they'll be richer for it.
