5 Tips On How To Be More Positive

    Jan 9, 2023 by Ali · Leave a Comment

Thinking more positively helps us to reduce stress and improve our health. We have provided some tips that you can use in order to help you to be more positive.

    Practice Gratitude Daily

You will be surprised by the difference that practising gratitude will make. Treat yourself to some personalised notebooks and take a few minutes in the evening and write down 3-5 things that you are grateful for. It has been proven that those who practice gratitude are more positive and optimistic.

    Spend More Time Outside

Spending more time outside in the fresh air is a great way to boost positive thinking and a positive mindset. Even just taking a break from work to go on a 15 minute walk, this will make a world of difference and enhance your overall well being. If you wish you can also bring the outdoors inside. For example, invest in some plants and flowers and decorate your office with them. This has been proven to have similar effects to spending more time outside.

Find Activities That Bring You Joy

A great way to begin to feel more positive is to find activities that bring you joy. For example, music is known to boost our endorphins and helps us to feel more positive. If you are feeling a bit down or anxious, try blasting your favourite music through your speakers and dance it out. You may feel so much better after doing this. Other activities that may bring you joy are activities such as going on a walk, spending time with friends and family, etc. Everyone is different and has different ways of finding joy in the small things, find an activity that brings you joy and go from there.

    Hang Out With Positive People

Hanging out with positive people will help to fuel your positivity. In times when you are not feeling very positive, having a strong support system is incredibly important. It is so important to have a positive group of friends that you can lean on physically and mentally during tough times. People who are positive tend to be the ones who are always lending an ear and willing to help you get to a more positive place. Having positive friends will make you happier and with this you will be able to spread your happiness around.

    Recharge Your Batteries

The reason why you may not be feeling very positive is because you are feeling burnt out. In today's society people face an enormous amount of pressure whether that is because they feel the need to reach a certain status, physical attractiveness, or richness, etc. It can be easier to focus on our shortcomings rather than our successes, however this doesn't help us to feel very positive. When we aren't feeling positive this can lead us to feel burnt out and neglect our basic needs. However, taking the time out to recharge your batteries is not selfish. Ways that you can recharge your batteries are that you can take a short trip, go on a hike or run, meet up with friends and family, etc.

We hope you found this post helpful when it comes to becoming more positive. Visit the Martha Brook website if you are interested in one of the personalised notebooks that we mentioned about, they sell a variety of styles that are tailored to everyone's different style and aesthetic.
