8 Things You Need for a Relaxing Home Spa Experience

Wouldn't it be lovely to be able to enjoy all of the treats of the spa without having to leave your home? Being able to enjoy a relaxing home spa experience would be especially useful at the moment when lockdowns and restrictions mean that we can't necessarily treat ourselves to a relaxing day at the spa when we need it the most.

Fortunately, there are some easy ways that you can turn your home bathroom into a sensual spa. Here's a look at everything you need to enjoy a relaxing home spa experience without going out of the door.

    Time

Let's face it, one of the best things about going to the spa, that's sometimes the most challenging element to recreate at home, is that you don't have to worry about interruptions, and you can put your to-do list to one side. You'll never be able to enjoy a long, soothing bath or a detoxifying face mask if people are banging on the bathroom door, or you are worried about everything that you need to do later in the day.

To fully enjoy a relaxing home spa experience, you'll need to clear your schedule, and, if possible, your house so that you can fully immerse yourself in the experience.

    The Right Aromas

A visit to the spa is a full sensory experience. The spa doesn't just tantalize your sense of touch. It smells great, looks good, and even tickles your taste buds. To create the perfect home spa, you need to indulge all of your senses.

Start with the smells. Scented candles and luscious bubble baths are a great start.

Soothing Lighting For Spa Ambience At Home

No one wants to enjoy a relaxing bath with bright overhead lights. Candles are a great start when creating a relaxing atmosphere, but if you want to read in the tub, make sure the lighting is bright enough that you can see.

    Fluffy Towels and Robes

Soothing bath oils will delight your skin, but you'll ruin the effect if you get out and wrap yourself in rough, cold towels. Make sure you've got fluffy, high-quality towels warming on a radiator or towel heater to wrap yourself up in when you are ready.

Gentle Sounds For A Home Spa Experience

Silence isn't always as relaxing and peaceful as you might expect. When things are silent, you notice every little creek and sound your house makes and hear all of the noises from outside. Relaxing music or ambient sounds might offer more comfort.

    Refreshing Delights or Comforting Treats

What you drink in your home spa depends on how you feel. If you are looking to revitalize, nothing beats an ice-cold glass of cucumber water. But, if it's soothing and comforting you are looking for, a glass of wine or hot drink might be better.

    Home Spa Indulgent Products

To enjoy a home spa experience, you need to make sure it's different from your day-to-day bath or shower. Do this by investing in some rich, indulgent products to treat your skin. Use coupons for makeup and other beauty products to get the best deals on luxury products.

    A Cleansing Face Mask

Nothing says spa more than a face mask, and all of your spa favourites are easy to recreate at home, whether you want to buy them in or make your own.

A spa experience, even at home, has countless benefits. It can help you to relax and unwind, give your skin a much-needed boost, and help you to leave your troubles - not to mention your dead skin - behind. Having everything you need to treat yourself at home means that you can indulge whenever you need it without worrying about expensive spa treatments or making time for appointments.

I've never been to a spa but hear they can be very relaxing. I love the feel of a comfortable robe and soft towel, you can never go wrong with those.

For my birthday last week my fiance did a massage spa treatment. And he found a nice massage playlist on Spotify so it was super relaxing and we had a candle burning etc. With my eyes closed it felt exactly like we were in a spa x

You are right, you definitely need to make time to have that relaxing at home spa experience, I make time every single day and longer on Sundays.
