    A Shabby Chic Bathroom Makeover

    Aug 13, 2015 · Modified: Sep 20, 2022 by Ali · 5 Comments

You know me - I have a continual need to constantly update the house! And this time it was the bathroom's turn! There was nothing much wrong with it as it was, I just fancied a change and making it a little brighter so I decided to paint the walls a bright white, update the bath panel and paint the radiator.

Here is what it looked like before...

For what it's worth, painting over pale yellow with white paint was hard work. It took no less than 5 coats!! But it was worth it in the end as it is now bright, crisp and clean.

We spray painted the radiator white - which was really quick and gave an excellent finish but the spray paint mist got EVERYWHERE meaning I needed to scrub all the black tiles afterwards.

I updated the BATH lettering with decoupage paper - I love how the letters look now!

I got this vinyl sticker on eBay which looks great on the painted white bath panel. bath panel sticker

New pink towels from Primark (see my haul video!) finish off the look.

We also re-did the grout on the floor tiles and updated the candles and flowers.

I'm really pleased with what was a budget job! What do you think?

It looks fantastic, such a lovely finish for not a huge amount of work - apart from the 5 coats of paint! x
