ISSA mikro Review
Do you find brushing your child's teeth to be a bit of a chore? To be honest with three children to nag to brush their teeth, check them, brush them again etc etc I find it quite exhausting! The girls both have electric toothbrushes as the dentist recommended them as they clean their teeth more effectively. They've had to wait until they were 5 though because normal electric toothbrushes can be too strong on their little gums.
Little Boy has been using just a little baby toothbrush. He's not keen on having his teeth brushed, he'd rather do it himself which is of course annoying as I'd like to make sure they were properly brushed, but sometimes he just won't let me. Recently this has all changed though because we were sent a Foreo ISSA mikro toothbrush to review.
It is a really cool looking silicone toothbrush with silicone bristles. It is electric and you can charge it by USB using a cable supplied. It is easy to clean and you don't need to change the head because the bristles are silicone!
Little Boy loves using this, he loves the vibrations it gives off and he will sit with it in his mouth for ages (and even occasionally let me have a little go!). It has cute little smiley and sad faces which tell you if they have brushed for long enough or even if it has been longer than 12 hours since they last brushed.
I really like this toothbrush. I love the fact that it is easy to clean and you don't need to buy new heads all the time. It also holds a charge well and doesn't need charging very often. Little Boy loved using it too which is the important thing. The only niggle I have with it is that Little Boy must have bitten it and he has torn a hole in the silicone at the top. In my mind if it is designed for small children up to the age of 4 you have to expect them to bite on it and I would expect it to hold up a little better than that. The tear hasn't affected it's performance though and it is covered by a 2 year warranty so I hope it can be fixed under that.
