How New Parents Maintain A Youthful Look

    Apr 29, 2019 by Ali · Leave a Comment

    collaborative post

If there's one thing that takes every new parent by surprise is how exhausting it is to have a baby. You can say goodbye to your 8-hour-sleep night. New parents don't sleep more than a couple of hours at night. Ultimately, it takes about 6 or more months for your baby to sleep through the night without needing a feed, assuming you can manage to get them into a routine. Admittedly, for breastfeeding babies, it can take a little longer, as babies metabolise breast milk quicker and therefore need more frequent feeding - hence, throughout the night too. In short, the typical new parents' look is a haggard expression of extreme fatigue, dark rings, stress, and a few unpleasant lines around the eyes and on the forehead. It doesn't matter how much you love your baby; being a parent adds years to your face and body.

You've got, of course, a lot to do. You need to look after a tony person, who happens to be very demanding. It's fair to say that, for new parents, keeping on top of their beauty routine is not part of the to-do list. But that doesn't mean you should let yourself go. You can develop a quick and easy self-care routine that helps you to maintain a youthful and rested look, even during those first few years of parenthood!

#1. They choose skincare products that do all the hard work

Parents have a hard time looking after their skin. Indeed, you need to remember that your skin is the largest external organ in your body. Not only does it react to internal changes, but it also responds to external factors. From a mom's perspective, your body is going through extreme exhaustion - believe it or not, but it's called labour for a reason. So your complexion is going to feel tired and dull, while you recover. Additionally, the female body experiences severe hormonal imbalance, which is the main cause of postpartum depression. Hormones, however, don't only interact with your mood. They can also lead to acne outbreaks, rashes, irritation, dry patches, and even inflammation. You are not going to look your best, no matter what you do! You need a product that can provide your skin with the natural substances that it's lost through childbirth and parenting exhaustion. Hyaluronic acid, for instance, is a substance produced by the skin that retains moisture, prevent dryness and aging process, and increase the healing process, https://www.avon.com/hyaluronic-acid. Using a dedicated serum or topical cream can help to replenish your skin, giving you a rest and healthy look, even when you're feeling tired as hell!

#2. They stick to a healthy diet

Do you that during the first year of your baby's life, parents are more likely to stick to an unhealthy diet? Indeed, the combination of fatigue, nervous exhaustion - your baby is going to drive you to the wall on multiple occasions as you learn to understand each other and bond -, and lack of time makes you naturally opt for comforting solutions. In other words, takeaway, delivery food, and other junk bought in the shops. Unfortunately, it's a natural phenomenon; your brain seeks comfort through food with high fat, sugar and/or salt content. Unfortunately, your diet doesn't do much for your skin. It's likely to enhance skin problems and accentuate lines. Instead, you need to find a healthy diet that works for you given your time limitations. You will struggle to eat 3 meals a day with a young baby, but you can develop habits that are easy to maintain, such as keeping a Tupperware box of freshly cut and peeled vegetables and fruit for you to eat when at the first opportunity. You also need to carry a bottle of water with you all the time, as it keeps your skin hydrated.

#3. A little caffeine goes a long way

With only a couple of hours of sleep each night, caffeine becomes your best friend. But before absentmindedly preparing a large cup of coffee in the morning, you might want to consider the many ways in which caffeine can benefit your body. Caffeine consumption on moderate doses doesn't interfere with breastfeeding habits, so it's good to know that you can indulge without feeling guilty. Additionally, you can use coffee to improve the appearance of your skin. Indeed, drinking coffee can dramatically decrease photoaging effects, protecting your skin from harmful sun exposure. Used in topical application, coffee can also decrease dark circles under your eyes and reduced inflammation. If you're not a coffee-drinker, you can try green tea, which is high in caffeine and antioxidants, https://www.teamiblends.com/8_ways_green_tea_improves_skin_complexion. Green tea can slow down signs of ageing, and reduce inflammation and oiliness in skin. It can also help to keep your complexion clear and acne-free.

#4. They stay active with their baby

New parents can find it challenging to maintain their fitness regime with a young baby. But staying as active as possible can help you to build up your metabolism and strength, which, to put it shortly, means that you are less likely to feel and look exhausted all the time. The easiest and safest way of keeping fit is to take your baby for a walk. As you build up stamina, you can take on running short and medium-distance with a baby stroller. Why running? Because it's a natural activity for your body - even though it is hard as a beginner - that can revert the ageing process. Indeed, running keeps your body healthy, improving your immune systems and your cardiovascular system. Additionally, running also makes your skin looks younger and firmer.

#5. They continue to make time for themselves

New moms can't spend a lot of time getting ready. You need to focus your attention on quick and easy gestures that make you feel and look good. You can use a facial cleansing brush with one hand, while holding your baby, for instance. Eye drops can make your eyes look bright, even when you didn't have much sleep.

Parenthood is a fantastic but exhausting experience. If you're expecting your first baby, you need to know what to do to maintain your youthful look and stay on top of your health, even when you're tired and running out of time!
