Hush Mattress Review - Hush Sleep Memory Foam Mattress

Disclosure - we were gifted this Hush mattress for the purpose of this review. All opinions are honest and our own.

As a parent a good night's sleep is really important. We get so little sleep sometimes that the sleep that we do get needs to be of a really great quality. Our mattress was ten years old and it was starting to get really uncomfortable. I would wake up with aches and pains and that's no good when I had a busy day ahead of me. I was really excited to get a new mattress. We were sent a wonderful Hush Mattress from Hush Sleep to review and I just couldn't wait to try it out.

It came rolled up in a box, which was small considering that it is a king size mattress. This meant it could just be delivered by a regular delivery company, so no hassle of arranging for a delivery. It was really easy to take out of the box and once the plastic was cut it just rolled itself out!

Over the next couple of hours you could see the memory foam expand until it was at it's full thickness. The instructions said it was ready to go out of the box but ideally to leave the windows open for a couple of hours which we did and got rid of that distinctive new mattress smell.

The mattress has a non slip bottom so it doesn't move around on the bed and a breathable top layer which is really soft. It is a deep mattress and our sheets just about fit so we might buy extra deep ones for it soon.

It is made out of both springs and foam so has the best of both worlds, which might explain it's double comfiness! It's actually made of lots of layers including features 1000 (pocket count) 18cm full size pocket springs (not micro-springs) and next generation memory foam.

I've been using the mattress for about 3 weeks now and honestly it is the comfiest mattress ever! It is so soft and squishy but still nice and firm too. It's as if the top layer is soft and comfortable but you can still feel the support coming from underneath. I often sit up in bed at night to read a book and my bottom used to get a little sore on our old mattress but not with this one, the memory foam cushions around you.

Waking up in the morning is a total experience now, you can feel where the memory foam is cushioning your body and I don't wake up with aches and pains anymore. For the first couple of weeks of having this new mattress I simply couldn't wait to go to bed, it is so so comfy!

I'm really pleased with this mattress and it is completely worth it's £595 price tag - in fact I think it's a bit of a bargain. When the girls need new mattresses I know where I'll be getting them from.

UPDATE

I am updating this post 4 years after it was written and it is safe to say that I love this mattress just as much as when it was new. It is still really comfortable and supportive and I hope it will last for a long time yet. Definitely a great buy.
