Keeping Warm and Dry this Winter with Target Dry - Review

    Dec 11, 2015 · Modified: Sep 19, 2022 by Ali · 9 Comments

    Target Dry Review

I'm so grateful to Target Dry right now for keeping me warm and dry on the school run lately. The weather here has been atrocious - rainy, windy and cold and it is no fun standing in that at the school gates every day. Last year's winter coat had lost it's waterproof layer and my raincoat was too thin for the cold so when Target Dry asked me to choose a product from their website to review I jumped at the chance to pick up a new school run winter coat.

I opted for the Cheltenham Women's Quilted Coat. I liked the black quilted look and thought it looked smart and would go with pretty much anything. I loved the contrasting floral lining, hood and drawstring waist. A hood is essential for the school run as I have a pushchair to take with me so carrying an umbrella is impossible. I like the drawstring waist because it makes me feel more feminine having a more fitted coat.

I have tested this coat out now for a good couple of weeks and it is brilliant. Not only have I had some great compliments on how it looks but it has been warm and waterproof in awful weather. The fabric is water repellant and you can actually see the water droplets holding on the surface of the coat so I know it is doing it's job!

The pockets are nice and deep and also easy to access which is great for my car keys on the school run. It also has adjustable drawstrings around the hood which are great if it is really windy and rainy.

It is plenty warm enough for the school run, and running about day to day but it is still quite thin and lightweight so easy to carry about if you go indoors. I don't think it would hold up in prolonged cold weather without another couple of layers underneath though.

This coat retails for £84.95 but is currently on sale for £31.99 which is a real bargain. I'd snap one up if I were you!

That sale price is fantastic! I have a break from school runs until Miss P starts nursery, but I feel your pain in the winter. I remember the cold wet mornings well. This coat looks fab! Love the hood detail x

That coat looks just great! I love quilted coats when running round town, as they are not long enough to trail on the tube steps, and if they get dirty can be slung in the washing machine. It is a super bargain too!
