Lighting For A Modern Kitchen

Our kitchen renovation is finally finished! It was pretty much finished a month or so ago but we just needed the finishing touches to be complete and now it really is done! I need to get organised and take some photos and make a video of it to share it with you.

One of those finishing touches was the light above the breakfast bar. Weirdly it was a really difficult light fitting to find and I wanted to find the perfect one. The problem is that I didn't want anything too low because I want to film cookery videos there so didn't want anything in the way. Also one of the cupboards opens onto the space and we didn't want it to hit the light. I wanted the light to be a feature and it was really hard to choose something that ticked all the boxes. Put it this way, many beautiful lights were sent back! Our new kitchen is quite modern so lighting for a modern kitchen was in order!

I was genuinely delighted to be contacted by Litecraft who offered me a solution to my problems with their fantastic range of lights.

They have a huge range of light fittings to choose from and their website is easy to navigate. Their website shows great pictures, videos and measurements of everything so I could be sure that I was ordering something that would fit.

I chose the Octi Semi-Flush Ceiling light in Satin Chrome as I thought it would be a great match for the chrome elements in the kitchen.

It arrived promptly and very well packaged. Our electrician had no problem fitting it and it looks absolutely fantastic now it is installed. It looks really classy and is definitely a luxury light, but without the luxury price tag. It came with the correct bulbs too which meant it was ready to go!

So here it is in situ...(I really should have tidied the kitchen...)

Like I said, I really love it and I would definitely recommend Litecraft to anyone looking for lighting, in fact I'm looking on their site now for lights for the hallway which is our next project!
