    Minimalist Bathroom Ideas

    Apr 28, 2022 by Ali · Leave a Comment

    Colab post

For many people, the bathroom is the one room where they can get some privacy and spend some quality time relaxing, or at least it should be.

A lot of people who would love to relax in the bathroom find it hard to do so because the bathroom is just too busy and too stimulating for the senses. One thing that can help with this is to use a more minimalist design in the bathroom, and below you will find some ideas to help you do just that.

Turn it into a wet room

One of the simplest ways to ensure your bathroom is more minimalist in style is to turn it into a wet-room or make a walk-in shower the main focus. This does away with a lot of the clutter that comes with having a separate shower and bath, and clean white wet-rooms with transparent wetroom shower screens are always going to look more calming than the alternative.

    Choose a sparse palette

You don't have to stick to a single colour in the bathroom, but if you want it to aid your relaxation, then choosing no more than two complementary colours is a good idea as it will not keep your mind too busy., Whites, blacks and greys always look classy in the bathroom without overstimulating the mind, but if you have a different colour palette in mind, you can make it work by making the most muted tone the most prominent in your space.

    Use the same tiles

Using the same tiles on your flooring as you use o the bathroom walls will mean that the design is uniform and the effect will be quite sophisticated and spectacular. However, it will still be very minimalist - there will be no clashing patterns or textures that cloud cause your mind to become too stimulated. Perfect relaxation awaits you.

    Plants are perfect

If you do want to add some decoration to your minimalist bathroom, plants are the obvious choice, Not only do they fit the minimalist aesthetic perfectly, but they can purify the air and, more importantly, have been shown to aid relaxation in humans.  Place one or two plants in a prominent spot and get all of the benefits of plant power in your very own bathroom.

    Add a flourish or two

Of course, you don't want your bathroom to feel too clinical, so don't be afraid to add a design flourish or two, whether that be a gilded gold mirror frame or a pastel-coloured bath mat. Anything that will enhance your enjoyment of your bathroom is something that you should embrace because, after all., this whole process is about making your bathroom better for you and your family and being too clinical will not make it feel like home.

When your space is uncluttered, so is your mind. So, by embracing minimalist style in the bathroom, you can make it far easier to switch your mind off and relax in a hot shower or bathtub, which I'm sure you'll agree is one of life's simplest pleasures.
