The Importance Of Checking Your Tyres

    May 22, 2018 · Modified: Jul 20, 2024 by Ali · Leave a Comment

We are heading off to Devon for a little break shortly and whenever we travel any distance by car I make sure that we give the car a quick check over to make sure that it is safe to travel. I check the usual things like oil, windscreen wash, water levels and tyres.

It was lucky that I checked the car this week actually because I discovered that the back tyre has a very slow puncture. It's not something I would have picked up on without specifically checking it so I'm really glad that I did before travelling a long way. Especially as I have the whole family in the car, I really want to make sure that we are as safe as possible before setting off.

Now of course I have to go about changing the tyre, and luckily I have some time before we go away so I don't have to rush to the nearest garage. I've just discovered a company who offer a mobile tyre fitting service so I don't have to take time off to sort out my tyre problem. I think this service is just great as they can come to your home or office and I love the fact that I won't have to wait awkwardly in a garage waiting room while my tyre is fitted!

TyrePlus have also put together a really interesting infographic about the different types of drives you might identify with according to your personality and therefore what type of tyres might be best for you. I think I definitely fall into the Family category, although I am also a bit of a photographer. What would you fall into?
