    Jun 9, 2023 · Modified: May 11, 2024 by Ali · Leave a Comment

    Colab post

The Cornish coast is one of the most desirable holiday locations in the UK. With its own sub-tropical climate, it's no wonder the picturesque sandy beaches draw in plenty of Brits in the summertime.

The home of water sports, nature trails and Land's End - Cornwall is famous for many reasons. From castles and culture to boat tours, zoos and family adventures, these coastal locations are the perfect place for your next holiday.

With this in mind, we've gathered a list of the top three places to stay in Cornwall, so you can really make the most of your summer break…

    Picture 1

    Padstow

Full of great places to eat, the working fishing harbour of Padstow is surrounded by history, poetry and of course, glorious beaches. For golden sand and famous cuisine, this is the place to go.

You could stay at a resort like Retallack Cornwall and really soak up the sights in pure luxury, exploring everything Cornwall has to offer whilst indulging in the onsite spa.

There's the Camel Estuary to see in Padstow, which is known by many seafarers as the Doom Bar. Witness the sand bar that can move depending on the currents, and learn about the folklore that surrounds it. There are plenty of rock pools at low tide, and opportunities to learn how to surf or snorkel in the clear waters.

Padstow really is the place that has everything you could need for your Cornish summer holiday!

    Newquay

It's no secret that Newquay is popular, and for good reason - the golden beaches and buzzing town centre make it a lively place for both relaxing and action-packed family holidays. Visit the home of lions, wildebeest and sloths at Newquay Zoo, where you'll be surrounded by tropical gardens and wildlife.

Learn to surf on the waves of the Atlantic Ocean, or spend your days hiking along the many breath-taking nature trails. Whatever you decide to do in Newquay, you're sure to have a unique getaway in this town voted "One of the Nations Favourite Seaside Towns".

    St Ives

Arguably one of the most famous holiday destinations in the UK, St Ives features waving palm trees and incredibly clear blue waters. With views across St Ives Bay to the Godrevy Lighthouse, you can see where Virginia Woolf was inspired for her famous novel 'To the Lighthouse'.

But that's not all. You can take a boat trip to Seal Island, or visit the Tate St Ives and feast your eyes on some of the most glorious art from local artists, whilst overlooking the Atlantic Ocean. There are spots which allow you to surf regularly, and a number of feasts and festivals taking place throughout the year for you to enjoy.

Cornwall truly is one of the most breath-taking destinations in the UK, and there's sure to be something for everyone, no matter where you go.

Enjoy the golden beaches, try new things and embark on limitless adventures in Cornwall this summer.
