Two Years Together

This week we celebrated our littlest one turning two. I could come out with all the cliches about how time flies and I can't believe he is two. All that is true, in one way two years have flown by in the blink of an eye and in another way I can't imagine life without him and it feels like he has always been here with us.

He is hard work, much harder than the girls. He is physically strong, active and he doesn't communicate as well as the girls. He is defiant and tempestuous and exhausting. By the end of the day I can be tired, really tired. But all of this means that he is full of fun, full of energy and love and has everywhere to go in life. He is a real character and a proper cheeky chappy! I love watching his personality develop and watching him learn how to talk. I love seeing his relationship develop with his sisters and how they teach him new things.

I feel so lucky that we have had these two years together, at this age children are such great company. We literally are together all the time, and while it might be draining sometimes I know that next year he'll be starting nursery and I'll have to start the process of letting him grow up a little. I'm definitely going to make the most of this year with him. And just look at that grin! Who wouldn't love that! I'm so lucky!
