    Located in Bexar County, Olmos Park is a great place for families, offering low crime, top-rated public schools, a variety of housing options, and a diverse community. The neighborhood is only 4 miles north of Downtown San Antonio, which means that parents can enjoy plenty of fun and nightlife close to home.

    For children, Olmos Park offers all sorts of entertainment, including parks, walking trails, and even a community terrace garden.

    2. Alamo Heights

    Alamo Heights is one of the most popular San Antonio neighborhoods. Home to more than 7,800 residents, the town offers a suburban feel with plenty of parks, restaurants, and convenient shopping centers. Nearby you'll find the San Antonio Zoo, Witte Museum, Japanese Tea Garden, and Brackenridge Park.

Terrell Hills is only five miles away from downtown San Antonio, making it the prime suburban location for a growing family.

    4. Boerne

    Boerne is an independent community located in the Texas Hill Country. With more than 16,000 residents, this neighborhood is the largest on the list. Despite its ever-growing population, the town remains well-rooted in its history.

    Though far away from the city hustle and bustle, the town is just a little over 40 minutes away from Downtown San Antonio. Boerne offers a historic Main Street along with a town park, the ideal place to spend a family day out exploring and relaxing.

    The town has top rated schools, most notably Geneva School of Boerne. Aside from great schools, your family can enjoy spending time at many local attractions including the Boerne City Lake Park, Cibolo Nature Center & Farm, and Cascade Caverns.
